On April 26, at approximately 11:30 a.m. Winnipegosis RCMP responded to a disturbance at a residence in the RM of Mossey River.
Officers arriving at the scene saw a vehicle in the driveway with all its windows smashed, then heard a commotion inside the home – including the sound of breaking glass. Officered entered the residence and were met by an adult male and female.
The man was arrested and taken into custody. As officers were attempting to exit the residence with the male, the female pushed the door into two officers, then went outside and tried to grab at an officer’s gun. She was then arrested, which she resisted.
A 36-year-old male faces charges of:
- Assault; and
- Mischief over $5,000.
A 32-year-old woman faces charges of:
- Resisting arrest x4;
- Disarming a police officer;
- Assaulting a police officer x2; and
- Breach of recognizance.
Both suspects appeared in court on April 27 and were released on conditions pending their next court appearance.
