CALGARY, AIRDRIE, Alta., The Alberta RCMP Rural Organized Crime Team (ROCT) has concluded a drug trafficking investigation involving multiple individuals believed to be trafficking drugs in Calgary, Airdrie, and surrounding rural communities.
RCOT entered into an investigation for multiple individuals who were believed to be trafficking drugs in both the Calgary and Airdrie areas, as well as surrounding rural communities.
With the assistance of the Alberta Sheriff Investigative Service Unit South, Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), Calgary Police Service (CPS), Airdrie RCMP, Drumheller RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), Alberta RCMP Roving Traffic Unit, Southern Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Team (SAD CRU), and the Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT), RCOT executed four search warrants.
On May 26, three search warrants were executed on residences in Calgary, and one in Airdrie, Alta. As a result of the search warrants and investigation, police arrested and charged three males and seized the following items:
- 100 grams of suspected cocaine
- 3,586 grams of suspected cannabis marihuana
- 1 gram of suspected methamphetamine
- 22 Tabs of suspected LSD
- $7,215 Canadian Currency
- $39,781 worth of Pokémon Cards
- 6 Cell Phones
- 6 Firearms, including 4 restricted handguns, a rifle, and a carbine
- 9 mm high-capacity drum style magazine
- 2024 Chevrolet Corvette
RCMP have charged, Kyle Mcintyre, a 36-year-old resident of Calgary, with:
- Trafficking a controlled substance (x5);
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000 (x7);
- Possession of a prohibited firearm;
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public;
- Possession of a firearm without a license;
- Possession of a prohibited device;
- Possession of a prohibited device without a license.
RCMP have charged, Brendon Ross-Henderson, a 33-year-old resident of Calgary, with:
- Trafficking a controlled substance (x2);
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000 (x2).
Mcintyre and Ross-Henderson were both held for Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearings. Mcintyre was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on July 3, 2026. Ross-Henderson was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on June 26, 2026.
RCMP have charged, David Chafe, a 70-year-old resident of Calgary, with:
- Possession for the Purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000.
Chafe was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary, on July 15.
