STONY PLAIN, Alta. — A wandering baby goat named Rhonda is back home after being found running loose near a busy roadway in Stony Plain.
On July 17, at approximately 10 a.m., Parkland RCMP received a report from a member of the public who had located the goat running near 50 Avenue. Officers responded and, working alongside Stony Plain Enforcement Services, were able to identify the goat’s owner and safely reunite the pair.
“Through a collaborative effort between Parkland RCMP and Stony Plain Enforcement Services, the goat’s owner was identified and ‘Rhonda’ was safely reunited with them,” police said in a media release.
RCMP described the positive outcome as “a great example of the strong partnership” between the two agencies.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to work together to help our community members,” the release added.
