Maskwacis RCMP would like to advise the public that they have reopened one Northbound lane on Highway 2. Speeds will be reduced in the area as crews will be on site overnight. The Highway is expected to reopen in the late morning on April 9, 2026. The public is asked to please slow down before arriving in the area and respect the posted signage.
Maskwacis RCMP was on scene of an overturned semi on Highway 2 Northbound, just North of the Maskwacis exit. Highway 2 Northbound will be closed until further notice while the semi is unloaded and the road is cleared. Traffic is being rerouted to Highway 2a via Highway 611. The public is asked to avoid the area and to follow the instructions given by officers on scene.
