Calgary police have charged a man following a suspicious death in the northeast community of Rundle on Feb. 13, 2026.
Cecil Lapp, 64, of Calgary, is charged with second-degree murder.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 17.
On Feb. 13, 2026, at around 6:20 a.m., Calgary police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Rundlecairn Road N.E., for reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, police located a man in his 50s suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital where he later died.
An autopsy will be completed Feb. 17 by The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
This is believed to be a targeted incident.
