On July 17, 2025, at 6:13 a.m., the Toronto Police Service responded to a call of a shooting at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre, located at 3401 Dufferin Street, near Highway 401.
Arriving on scene, police located a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the north side parking lot of Yorkdale Shopping Centre, near the Indigo store, just off Gate 3. Despite attempts to resuscitate, the victim, Kashif Jamal Bentley-Jean, 28, of Toronto, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Toronto Police Service investigators have charged several individuals in this murder case, including one man arrested in August 2025 in Laval, Quebec.
Bryan Fuentes Gramajo is wanted by the Toronto Police Service on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder. Fuentes Gramajo is actively evading arrest. He has a criminal record and is known for his affiliation with a Montreal gang known as “Zone 43.”
