Saskatchewan RCMP’s Provincial General Investigation Section has continued to investigate a firearm incident on Muskowekwan First Nation on July 24, 2025. This incident resulted in a Saskatchewan RCMP officer being injured, and a dangerous person alert being issued for the area. Background is available here. A firearm and ammunition were recovered as part of this ongoing investigation.
28-year-old Elijah Albert of Muskowekwan First Nation, Sask., is now charged with:
- one count, attempted murder with a firearm, Section 239(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, discharge firearm with intent, Section 244, Criminal Code;
- one count, uttering threats, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, pointing a firearm, Section 87(1), Criminal Code.
Elijah Albert is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on July 30.
