Toronto Police issue Canada-wide warrant for lawyer Maria Mikhailitchenko
On Sept. 20, 2024, the Toronto Police Service issued a Canada Wide Warrant for Maria Mikhailitchenko, 46, of Thornhill.
On November 2, 2023, it was reported that two victims hired a woman as their lawyer to facilitate the sale of a home. They sold the home, and the woman held the profits in trust for the victims. The victims tried several times to meet with the woman to obtain the profits from the sale of the home but she never went to the scheduled meetings.
Mikhailitchenko is wanted for fraud over $5,000, theft over $5,000 and breach of trust.
According to the Law Society of Ontario, Mikhailitchenko’s licence is suspended.
