Two Calgary men charged with murder in Chelsea Davidenas’ death

Two Calgary men have been charged with murdering 29-year-old Chelsea Davidenas who was “targeted because of her history as a sex worker,” say Calgary police.

They say she was killed hours after she was last seen on Feb. 17 and reported missing. She was reported missing to police.

Steven Aaron Zwick, 26, of Airdrie and Paul Joseph Rushton, 52, of Calgary are each charged with first-degree murder.

Davidenas’ remains haven’t been found but one of the accused is trying to help police locate her body, say police adding that he is struggling to remember the exact location.

Calgary Police Investigators believe Davidenas was lured to a rooming house in the northeast community of Pineridge and killed inside. They say physical and digital evidence led them to conclusion that she  was killed in the home.

They think her body was removed from the home a short time later.
