High Level RCMP arrested 19-year-old Elvis Metsikassus and trying to identify three more suspects following an armed robbery of Caesars Liquor Store on 100 Ave. in High Level.
High Level RCMP received a report of four masked people entering Caesars Liquor Store around 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2023. One of the masked individuals pointed a firearm at the employee and demanded the cash in the till. The other three individuals grabbed numerous amounts of alcoholic beverages and ran out of the store.
Metsikassus was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody on a charge of armed robbery. His next court date is Jan. 15 at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level.
RCMP say no members of the public or suspects were injured during the incident or the arrest. High Level RCMP would like to thank members of the public for their assistance.
