Calgary sushi restaurant Sushi In located at #3, 2711 – 17Ave. S. W. has been closed by Alberta Health on Jan. 4, 2024, due to unsafe handling of food and dirty premises.
The health order said that shrimp, noodles, pork, and rice were stored at temperatures that aren’t cold enough.
A build-up of dirt, grease, food, and other residence was noted on kitchen surfaces, bulk food containers, and floors. There was blood splatter from meat inside the fridge.
The health inspector said the dishwasher wasn’t adequately cleaning and sanitizing utensils, there was no dishwasher detergent and the line was clogged.
Soy sauce and vegetable oil boxes were being stored on the floor next to the bathrooms and there was no cleaning schedule at the restaurant.
