Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes investigating after Bomb Unit called for commercial explosives found in condo in 300 block of Warde.
WFPS attended, and residents were evacuated. The building has since been made safe and residents able to return.
Last month an Ottawa youth was charged with terrorism charges after police found materials that are used in creating explosive substances. They were located in a home when RCMP Federal Policing Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET) executed a search warrant.
Also in December, a small homemade improvised explosive device was detonated outside a home in the 100 block of Arlington Avenue in Ottawa on Sunday evening. Officers went to the home around 8:40 p.m. after getting multiple 911 calls about a loud noise and flash.
