Hamilton Police investigate targeted shooting

Hamilton Police continue to investigate a shooting in Central Hamilton and are asking for the assistance of the public.  

On Dec. 26 just before 7:30 p.m., officers were called to the area of Proctor Blvd and King Street East for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, police learned that the victim had been shot. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the shooting was targeted.  

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and there are no suspect descriptions available at this time.  If you have any information that could assist in this investigation, you are asked to call the Division 1 Staff Sergeant at 905 546-4725.
