Region of Peel Police have charged 36-year-old David Piperni of Mississauga on Dec. 22 following a robbery investigation and believe there may be other victims.
Police allege that on Dec. 16, Piperni met with a sex trade worker at a Mississauga hotel for a pre-arranged meeting. When he was done, he asked for additional services, which weren’t agreed on. When the victim refused, Piperni became upset.
Even though the sex worker returned his money, Piperni assaulted the sex trade worker and held her against her will when she tried to escape. She yelled for help, and the Piperni fled, stealing some of her belongings. She didn’t sustain any serious physical injuries.
Piperni is charged with robbery, forcible confinement, uttering threats, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
At the time of his arrest, Piperni was already on release for similar offences.
The 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau is investigating other incidents involving David and believes there are additional victims.
