Lorne McKinnon, 55, has been charged two counts of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with a court order. He has been remanded in custody.
On Dec. 16, at about 1:05 am, a Winnipegosis RCMP officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 20, near Fork River.
During the stop, the officer observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and the driver was arrested.
A search McKinnon and the vehicle resulted in the seizure of over $5,000 in cash, 20 grams of cocaine, prescription medication, a firearm magazine, ammunition, several cellphones and other drug paraphernalia.
