Strathcona County RCMP are searching for 32-year-old Guy Joseph Menard after a 28-year-old woman received serious life-threatening injuries in an assault.
On Dec. 5, at 8:19 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP received a report of a stabbing at an apartment on Cloverbar Road in Sherwood Park.
Upon arrival, emergency crews tended to the woman with serious life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital and is expected to survive. The RCMP Strathcona County GIS was dispatched to support the detachment.
The police investigation has identified the suspect as Menard and a warrant for his arrest has been issued on charges of aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order.
Despite efforts to locate Menard, RCMP have not been successful and they are asking for public assistance.
Guy Menard is described as having a light complexion, brown hair, brown eyes and a large Monster energy tattoo on neck.
Guy Menard is believed to be armed and dangerous. If seen, Do Not Approach, please call 911 or your local police agency.
