The Prince District RCMP in Prince Edward Island arrested a 47-year-old Edmonton, Alta., man and 40-year-old PEI woman Dec. 4 for possession of a stolen Jaguar and possession of cocaine following a foot pursuit at a traffic checkpoint in Borden Carleton.

Police had set up a checkpoint in Borden Carleton and the driver of a Jaguar stolen from Toronto, Ont., in October 2022 was arrested, and a passenger fled on foot at the scene. Officers had a short foot pursuit that resulted in the arrest of the passenger, and 0.5kg of cocaine was seized.
Jason Waite will appear in court later today to answer to charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, resisting arrest and breach of probation.
Brandi Biggar will appear in court later today to answer to charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
