A Quebec man, Othmane Rafik, 28, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 79-year-old woman on Montreal’s South Shore.
Denise Brouillette’s body was found inside an apartment on Cuvillier Street Ouest in Longueuil on March 16 Police say she died died sometime between March 14 and 16.
Rafik is also accused of stealing various objects from Brouillette, valued at less than $5,000, and stealing a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. He also faces a count of possession of property obtained by crime.
