The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in relation to a shooting that took place Jan. 23 in the area of Lacasse Avenue and Blake Boulevard.
At approximately 3:20 pm, Ottawa Police received multiple calls for shots heard in the area. On scene police located one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital. They remain in hospital in serious but stable condition.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information and has not yet spoken with police to contact the Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5050.
