On Nov. 29, Victoria Police patrol officers arrested a man in a aanta suit with a fake beard, after receiving reports that he was seen with a gun.
Just before 10:30 a.m. that day, Patrol officers responded to a report of a man waiving around a gun near the intersection of Douglas Street and Fort Street.
A short time later, officers found the man sitting on a bench nearby and he was arrested without incident. Officers determined he had an outstanding warrant for uttering threats and is being held in custody to appear in court.
Police say as the investigation related to the firearm is still ongoing, further details cannot be shared at this time.
