Punjaabi Indian Cuisine in Calgary closed by Alberta Health after mouse droppings found throughout kitchen

Punjaabi Indian Cuisine located at 838 – 5075 Falconbridge Boulevard NE in Calgary was shut down by Alberta Health on July 10 for dozens of violations. Some of them included mouse droppings throughout the kitchen, side server and bar including in the storage cabinets and on food storage shelves, on food equipment, food take-out containers and menus.

Raw chicken was thawing in hot water under a dripping cooler condenser drain line, and next to a sink compartment of dirty food equipment and utensils, open foods were left in their original cans in the preparation line coolers, and a heavy accumulation of grease, grime, garbage, and old food debris throughout the kitchen.
