GOODFISH LAKE, Alta. – On July 23, 2026, Goodfish Lake RCMP initiated a traffic stop on Main Road in Goodfish Lake. During the traffic stop, officers determined that the driver was impaired. While conducting the investigation, RCMP received additional information identifying the vehicle, the driver, and its occupants as being involved in suspected drug trafficking activity. All four occupants of the vehicle were arrested. A subsequent search of the vehicle, authorized by a search warrant, resulted in the seizure of quantities of suspected controlled substances, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and other evidence believed to be related to drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation, Janelle Favel (36), a resident of Goodfish Lake, Dalton Sam Houle (26), a resident of Edmonton, Brooke Hunter (19), a resident of Saddle Lake, Alta., and Dominic Jackson (38), a resident of St. Paul, Alta., were charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
