LLOYDMINSTER, Alta., — Two Edmonton men face multiple drug trafficking charges after Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster Trafficking Response Team seized over $40,000 in cash and a substantial quantity of illegal drugs from a hotel room in Lloydminster, Alberta. The arrests and seizure occurred on June 11, 2026, and the accused are scheduled to appear in court in August.
Officers executed a search warrant at a room in a hotel on 50th Avenue in Lloydminster as part of an ongoing investigation. During the search, police located and seized $40,000 in cash, 6.182 litres of gamma hydroxybutyrate, 243 grams of fentanyl, 233 grams of cocaine, and 725 grams of methamphetamine. Two males were arrested at the scene.
Yuvraj Dhillon, 23, and Sukhman Singh, 20, both from Edmonton, have each been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking gamma hydroxybutyrate, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The charges stem from provisions under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code.
Dhillon and Singh are scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court in Alberta on August 11, 2026. The investigation was conducted by the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster STRT, which focuses on disrupting drug trafficking networks in the region.
“This seizure represents a significant disruption to the illicit drug trade in Lloydminster and area,” said Sgt. Aaron Gervais with the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster STRT. “By removing these dangerous substances, and the financial incentives behind them, we are directly investing in community prevention and safety.”
