RCMP seek driver of a semi-truck who was passing in the area when the altercation occurred.
Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) has made an arrest in the murder of 38-year-old Valleyview resident Dolan Badger, which took place on April 9, 2026, around 11:30 p.m. Thanks to help from the public, Alberta RCMP MCU identified and arrested Valleyview resident Jayden Houle, 27. He has been charged with second-degree murder.
Houle was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody, to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie on April 13, 2026.
On April 9, around 11:39 p.m., Valleyview RCMP were informed of a male laying in the streets near 3802 Highway street. EMS attended and declared him deceased.
Alberta RCMP MCU are still gathering evidence with regards to this investigation. They are hoping to speak with the driver of a semi-truck who was passing in the area when the altercation occurred. RCMP would like to speak with the driver in order to obtain potential dashcam footage. A picture of the truck has been attached to the release.
