A months‑long drug investigation has led to the seizure of 22 firearms, cash, cocaine, and body armour from a residence in Fox Lake.
The investigation began Nov. 16, 2025, after officers received information that a local resident was selling cocaine and liquor from their home. The file remained active through the winter and culminated in a search warrant executed on Feb. 13, 2026.
During the search, officers arrested one suspect and seized 22 firearms, ammunition, hard body armour, small quantities of cocaine, approximately $11,000 in cash, and drug‑trafficking paraphernalia.
RCMP say the suspect — a Fox Lake resident — was arrested and later released on conditions while the Crown reviews charges. RCMP are seeking approval for several offences, including:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (four counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts)
- Possession of a weapon obtained by crime
- Additional firearm‑related offences (four counts)
A first court appearance is scheduled for April 14, in Alberta Court of Justice in Fort Vermilion.
