Pride Kevin English‑Bullcalf arrested
An 18‑year‑old man was arrested in Calgary’s East Village this week after officers seized fentanyl, methamphetamine and an array of weapons — including a rifle, knives and a hatchet — during a downtown drug‑trafficking investigation.
Calgary Police say the arrest followed a call from a member of the public around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026. The caller reported seeing behaviour consistent with drug dealing on Dermot Baldwin Way S.E. Officers responded and quickly located a suspect, who was arrested for drug trafficking.
A search of the man and a duffel bag he was carrying turned up multiple weapons, cash, drug paraphernalia and several types of drugs. According to Calgary Police, the items seized included:
- 126.3 grams of fentanyl (estimated street value: $12,630)
- 21.4 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value: $428)
- 147.7 grams of other drugs (estimated street value: $13,058)
- Multiple knives
- A hatchet
- Brass knuckles
- Bear spray
- A collapsible baton
- A Browning Bar II rifle
- A live seven‑millimetre round
- A scale
- $179 in cash
- Two cellphones






Pride Kevin English‑Bullcalf, 18, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of other drugs for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm or prohibited device, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts related to carrying concealed weapons or prohibited devices, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm with ammunition and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
English‑Bullcalf is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026.
Calgary Police said the arrest reflects ongoing efforts to keep public spaces safe.
“The Calgary Police Service works closely with community partners to ensure everyone has access to safe public spaces, and we will swiftly address dangerous predatory criminal activity that threatens community safety,” says District 1 Insp. Jason Bobrowich. “Partnerships help us identify and address safety concerns in real time and keep the community safe. Thank you to everyone who helped remove these weapons and drugs from our streets and ensure the suspect was held accountable.”
