WINNIPEG, Man., —A 20-year-old woman has been charged in conection with the death of a 21-year old man.
Officers were called to a home on Toronto Street, between Notre Dame Avenue and Wellington Avenue, just after 3 p.m. on June 13 and found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died.
The victim was identified as Trencent Francois, a member of the Nelson House First Nation who had been living in Winnipeg, police said in a news release on Monday.
Precious Rayne Walker, 20, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with manslaughter. She has been detained in custody.
