On Feb. 21, 2026, at 1:45 pm, Gypsumville RCMP completed a traffic stop in Little Saskatchewan First Nation after officers noticed a vehicle failing to stop at the stop sign, at the intersection of Tower Road and Sandy Bay Road.
Officers observed that the male driver appeared to be impaired and confirmed that he was breaching court ordered conditions according to police database. He was immediately placed under arrest. The female passenger was later arrested after officers found drugs in the vehicle.
Upon arrest of the two occupants, officers located a loaded handgun, prescription drugs, and approximately 16 ounces of cocaine. Officers later confirmed that the handgun was stolen from Grande Prairie, Alberta, in 2022.
Both the driver, Shane WARREN, 45, and the passenger, Terri CRULY, 28, from Winnipeg, have been arrested and remanded in custody for multiple firearms and drug related offences.
Shane Warren has also been charged with driving a motor vehicle while prohibited, driving a motor vehicle while impaired and three counts of failing to comply with his release order.
Gypsumville RCMP continue to investigate.
