On Dec. 31, Peel police said they arrested three men and charged them with first-degree murder. They are Omar Ayah, 25, from Toronto, Elijah Turney, 20, from Brampton, and Malik Young, 20, from Brampton.
Police were called to the area near Hurontario Street and Bartley Bull Parkway, close to Steeles Avenue East, shortly after 7 p.m, On Dec. 8. Police say multiple shots were fired at a vehicle in what is believed to have been a targeted attack.
When officers arrived, they found the man alone inside the vehicle and broke a window to reach him. He was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to some media reports the victim was Jaskaran Singh Dhaliwal. Dhaliwal was allegedly employed as bookkeeper for the Former Liberal MP Raj Grewal’s office.
