RCMP were called to the 16000 block of Gatzke Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 25, 2025.
Upon arrival, police learned that 43-year-old Joseph Robert McCook was deceased and foul play is suspected. As such, the BC RCMP Major Crime Unit (MCU) has taken conduct of the investigation.
A photo of Joseph McCook is being released to further the investigation, and police are looking for public assistance in determining the circumstances that led to Joseph’s death. Anyone with information that has yet to speak to police is asked to call the MCU information line at 1-877-987-8477.
