Calgary police have charged one man in relation to a suspicious death that occurred earlier this week in the community of Deer Run that is believed to be domestic in nature.
Robert George DURAND, 37, is charged with one count of second-degree murder. He is scheduled to next appear in court on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025.
An autopsy was completed today by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Police didn’t release the name of the victim.
Shortly after 10 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, police were called to a home for reports of a disturbance. A man in his 70s was located with severe injuries and taken to hospital where he died a short time later. It is believed that this incident is domestic in nature.
