Saskatoon Police Major Crime investigators have charged an additional person in connection to the 2024 homicide of 30-year-old Tim Tootoosis.
On Dec. 9 a 26-year-old Danaka Delia Stephanee Laplante was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder, Offering an Indignity to Human Remains, and Unlawful Confinement. She is the 10th person to be charged.
In total, six males and four females are facing charges. They include Vernon Peequaquat, Michael McCallum, Rodrick Rabbitskin, Shianna-Lee Dangenais, Destini Gardypie, Nakita Tootoosis, Emmery Aubichon, Michael Landry and Donovan Lemstra.
In December 2024, Tootoosis’s body was found when the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit and Tactical Support Unit were executing a search warrant at a home in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood in 1700 block of 22nd West.
