The Toronto Police Service is investigating the city’s 32nd homicide of 2025.
On Sept. 15, at approximately 10:21 p.m., police responded to a call for a Shooting in the Kingston Road and Galloway Road area.
It is alleged that officers located a male victim in his 20s who had been shot, life-saving measures were performed, but the victim was pronounced deceased on scene, and the suspects fled the area prior to police arrival
The victim has been identified as Shakur Clarke-Sargeant, 23, of Toronto.
This is Toronto’s 32nd Homicide of 2025.
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, one male was arrested in relation to this investigation.
Jeavon Quashie, 21, of Toronto, was charged with first-degree murder.
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on September 17, 2025, at 10 a.m., in room 103.
A second suspect remains outstanding. The suspect is described as male, Black, in his early 20s, wearing dark clothing.
