On Sept. 18, 2025, Innisfail RCMP in partnership with ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit executed a search warrant on a residence in Penhold regarding an ongoing investigation. As a result, 44-year-old Jefferey Johnstone was arrested and charged with the following:
- Make child pornography available;
- Possess child pornography; and
- Access child pornography.
Johnstone has been taken before a Justice of the Peace and released with his next court date set for Oct. 16, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
