On Sept. 11, 2025, Grande Prairie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), observed a female commit a traffic offence on an electric scooter and subsequently enter a vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and the female immediately jumped out of the vehicle. Unstamped cigarettes were observed on her person, and she was placed under arrest. A search incidental to arrest lead to the seizure of drugs and drug paraphernalia consistent with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Police seized:
- Oxycontin;
- 27g of meth;
- 22g of crack/cocaine;
- Digital scale;
- Canadian currency; and
- Dog spray.
Jaime Brosseau, 49, of Grande Prairie, was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of crime. Brosseau was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. She is to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie on Oct. 6, 2025.
