RCMP arrest man.
Charges have been laid in connection with a homicide and investigators continue to seek witnesses to the event.
On Aug. 7, Port Alberni RCMP members arrested a man for the alleged homicide that occurred in Dry Creek Park on June 16. The following day, BC Prosecution Service approved a charge of murder against William Shane Watts. Watts remains in custody.
The Port Alberni RCMP General Investigation Section has conduct of the investigation and continues to seek witnesses and/or additional information related to this homicide.
