RCMP have charged two individuals following an investigation into alleged assaults on children at Little Stars Daycare in Spruce Grove.
After an investigation, police have charged 32-year-old Dimpy Bawa with two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault. Shivani Shivani, 29, faces two counts of assault.
Both accused have been released and are scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain on Sept. 17.
RCMP confirmed that Bawa and Shivani were removed from the daycare when the investigation began. Police said the facility has cooperated with the investigation.
