On July 4, 2025, Cardston RCMP located a deceased female inside an abandoned vehicle approximately 1.5 km West of Glenwood. The circumstances surround the death have been deemed to be suspicious and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation.
The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Calgary resident Jordyn “Rylie” Dines. Dines was last seen at approximately 2:45 p.m. at Chinook Center in Calgary on the afternoon of July 3, 2025. The RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in determining Dines’ activities after this time up until she was located in the Glenwood area.
The vehicle Jordyn was found in was a teal coloured, 2009 Toyota Camry, with black steel rims. At the time the vehicle had not been reported stolen, but investigators later learned through the registered owner that it had been missing since the morning of July 4, 2025.
