Cochrane RCMP continued their investigation, with assistance from Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit, and on July 8, 2025, Timothy Bailey was arrested and charged with accessing child pornography and possession of child pornography.
Bailey was held for a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and was released on conditions for Alberta Court of Justice in Cochrane on Sept. 9, 2025.
On Jan. 21, 2025, Cochrane RCMP initiated an investigation into conduct of a teacher from Springbank Community High School after a female student reported inappropriate behaviour. As a result of this investigation, Timothy Bailey (49), a resident of Calgary, was charged with child luring, sexual exploitation and making explicit material available to a young person.
Bailey is no longer a teacher at Rocky View Schools.
