The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Major Crime Section is investigating after human remains were discovered off Highway 7 west of the city earlier today.
Authorities were called to the scene following the grim discovery, with forensic teams and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service working alongside detectives to process the area. The scene has been secured as investigators work to determine the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the death.
At this time, police have not confirmed the identity of the individual or whether foul play was involved. The Coroners Service will conduct a post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
