Toronto Police have charged an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old youth with first-degree murder in the shooting death of two men in Riverdale on April April 15, 2025.
At approximately 11:15 p.m., on that day, officers responded to a call for Sound of Gunshots in the Bain Avenue and Logan Avenue area.
Toronto police officers arrived on scene and located two men who had been shot. Life-saving measures were done. One man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second man was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Both suspects were arrested on May 26 in Barrie by Toronto police homicide investigators. Barrie Police and York Regional Police assisted.
On May 3, a 17-year-old male youth from Toronto was also charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
