The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has arrested and charged Haybe Farhan Aden as he re-entered Canada on March 11 at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Aden, 29, of Ottawa, was wanted for the 2021 York Street shooting death of Tyson Nkuzimana as well as the attempted murder of another 18-year-old man in the same incident.
On March 12 Aden was returned to Ottawa where he was charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder.
He appeared in court earlier on March 12.
On July 4, 2021, a fatal shooting occurred on York Street in Ottawa, resulting in the death of L Ndongozi Nkuzimana (also known as Tyson Loris) and serious injury to another victim. The Ottawa Police Service launched an investigation and on July 11, 2021, a Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for Haybe Farhan Aden, wanted for second-degree murder and attempted murder.
