Investigators with the York Regional Police #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking suspects and witnesses after two homes were the target of arson attacks in the Township of King.
On Saturday, February 15, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., police responded to a new-build residential area, near 15th Sideroad and Charles Baker Drive. When officers arrived, they found two homes engulfed in flames. The houses were under construction and unoccupied at the time of the fire. No one was injured.
Video from the area shows two suspects arrive in a newer-model grey Dodge Durango. The suspects exit the vehicle and each retrieve jerrycans from the trunk. They then approach two separate homes and light them on fire before fleeing eastbound on Bud Willmot Way.

- Matte grey, 2021-2024 Dodge Durango, possibly SRT model
- Four-door sport utility vehicle, black alloy rims, hood air-intake vent and sunroof

Suspects:
- Both males
- Wearing all black clothing and black face masks
- Each carrying one yellow and one red jerrycan

Investigators believe this is a targeted incident and are appealing to anyone who may have information or video from the area to come forward.
The investigation is ongoing.
