RCMP Major Crimes investigating fire as suspicious
On February 7, 2025, at 8:25 pm, Gypsumville RCMP responded to a report of a house fire at an address located off highway six in Pinaymootang First Nation.
RCMP attended the scene, along with the local fire department, and observed that the house was fully engulfed in flames and was subsequently destroyed by the fire.
On February 9, 2025, the remains of an individual were located in the rubble.
As the cause of the fire appears suspicious, RCMP Major Crime Services are now investigating.
