Armed robbery suspects point gun at witness to fuel theft in Cut Knife

RCMP ask public to report sightings of silver 2017 Toyota Camry

On August 10, 2024 at approximately 3 p.m., Cut Knife RCMP received a report of a theft at a business on Frontage Road in Cut Knife.

Two males left the business without paying for their fuel. A witness followed them in a vehicle to Sweetgrass First Nation area. A short time later the suspect’s vehicle pulled over and the occupants pointed a firearm at the witness. No injuries were reported. 

The suspects are believed to be driving a silver 2017 Toyota Camry with Alberta license plate E16 163. Investigation has determined the vehicle was stolen from the Edmonton area on August 7, 2024.

The two suspects are described as male, South Asian with thin builds and trimmed beards. Both have a medium complexion and dark hair. One is described as 6’0” tall with curly hair. 

Investigation has determined the suspects were involved in an armed robbery in Leduc, Alberta earlier on August 10th.

Cut Knife RCMP and neighbouring detachments started working to locate the suspects. At approximately at 4:00 p.m. Battlefords RCMP officers observed the suspect vehicle on Sweetgrass First Nation. They attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle did not stop. Officers continue working to locate the vehicle and suspects.

If you see the suspects or suspects’ vehicle, do not approach them. Saskatchewan RCMP is asking members of the public to report any information on the suspects’ whereabouts by calling 310-RCMP or your local police of jurisdiction.
