Fire in Natuashish destroys RCMP apartments
An out-of-control fire in Natuashish destroyed multiple RCMP apartments early Saturday morning.
RCMP NL, along with the provincial Fire Services Division, is currently investigating the residential fires that began Saturday morning and destroyed multiple properties that housed RCMP employees in Natuashish.
The fires have been extinguished and there were no injuries. This incident was not related to the active wildfires in Labrador West, say police.
Arrangements are currently in progress to secure temporary accommodations for impacted RCMP employees.
The cause of the fires hasn’t been determined.
