Toronto Police investigating homicide of Sulakshan Selvasingam
On Saturday, July 6, 2024, at approximately 10:18 p.m., police responded to a call for a shooting in the Warden Avenue and Ellesmere Road area.
Police say the suspect and victim were in the area when the the suspect(s) fired several shots into the victim’s car before fleeing the scene. When officers arrived they found a man with gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were performed and the man was transported to hospital by paramedics where he was pronounced deceased
The victim has been identified as Sulakshan Selvasingam, 28, of Pickering.
Investigators are asking witnesses, or anyone who was in the area at the time that may have information to contact police.
