Ottawa Police investigate homicide of Adam Abdullahi Elmi

The Ottawa Police Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting death of a 28-year-old man that occurred at approximately 6:09 p.m. on Friday, July 5 near Carling Avenue and Kirkwood Avenue.

The victim has been identified as Adam Abdullahi Elmi of Ottawa. 

Currently, no suspects are in custody, and the investigation continues. 

Investigators are seeking surveillance video from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
