Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie General Investigation Section have laid multiple charges in a child luring investigation.
Callum Tanner Stewart, 29, of Nanaimo, B.C. has been charged with child luring, sexual assault, and failing to comply with a release order.
The investigation began on June 12 with a report of a youth being sexually assaulted. The investigation determined the youth had been lured on social media prior to the assault.
Stewart also has charged in B.C. for possession and distribution of child pornography. Stewart was brought before a Justice of the Peace where he has been remanded into custody. He will appear at the Calgary Provincial Court of Justice on June 24.
