Police believe there may be more victims
On June 18, 2024, Igloolik RCMP, arrested Louie Kripanik, 23, and was charged with making an obscene picture, committing an indecent act, sexual interference, choking, sexual assault, break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, and three counts of breach of probation.
Kripanik has been remanded into custody and will have his first appearance on June 23, 2024.
Police believe there may be additional victims in Igloolik, a hamlet in northern Canada with a population of about 2,049. They are encourage to come forward and contact the RCMP at 867-934-0123.
Their investigation is on-going.
